The fiddle waist, named after its violin looking waist refers to the sole’s narrow and beautiful bevelled waist. This is a precise and time-consuming process, as the shaping must be matched on each individual sole. When this is successfully completed the result in detail provide a sense of pride for the craftmanship for both the customer and the shoemaker alike.
